It’s been years since Shaggy started giving Christmas presents to children at Bustamante Hospital for Children in Kingston Jamaica. And it has now evolved into an NPO called, Shaggy Make A Difference Foundation (SMADF). SMADF has hosted hugely successful benefit concerts “Shaggy & Friends” in Kingston Jamaica in January 2009 and January 2010. Both concerts joined by such famous musicians like Sean Paul, Macy Gray & Boyz II Men raised over $1 million USD in total for Bustamante Hospital for Children to purchase latest medical equipments for the hospital.

Coming January 7th 2012, SMADF will host another “Shaggy & Friends” benefit concert in Kingston, Jamaica. Line up thus far includes Shaggy himself, Ne-Yo, Lauryn Hill, Stephen Marley, Assassin, Half Pint, Bunji Garlin, Faye-Ann Lyons, Cocoa Tea, Deniece Williams, Wayne Marshall, Tami Chynn, Chino and Romain Virgo. There will be three ticket levels: Platinum, $25,000; Gold, $10,000 and Silver $5,000 (Jamaican Dollars).
